The 3.0 update to Pinto is almost here, and it’s a big one.

As one of the first WordPress themes in our catalog, Pinto holds a special place in my collection. It’s been around for some time and has been quite popular amongst travelers and photo-bloggers.

I’ve worked hard to give Pinto the attention it deserves, bringing it up to speed with today’s design and development standards and adding support for WordPress 5.0 and the upcoming Gutenberg block editor. In fact, I’ve essentially re-written the entire theme from the ground up.

Pinto 3.0 is a turbocharged theme with the latest and greatest that our team has to offer. It’s faster, smoother, cleaner and just a more powerful theme. You’ll find that we’ve updating the theme’s styling quite a bit — pulling Pinto in line with modern day design trends.

The Pinto 3.0 release is slated for Monday, December 3rd, 2018.

Supporting Block Gallery and CoBlocks

This update adds support for two Gutenberg block plugins that we’ve been working on: CoBlocks and Block Gallery.

CoBlocks is a suite of editor blocks for content marketers and writers while Block Gallery is a collection of image gallery blocks for Gutenberg. Both block plugins fit-in perfectly with Pinto, letting folks publish beautifully rich content and galleries.

The next era of WordPress themes

Our themes power thousands of blogs, portfolios, small business sites and more — and we don’t take that lightly. ThemeBeans is committed to the future of WordPress, leading the next era of WordPress themes.

WordPress 5.0 is absolutely a massive leap forward for content creation within the core WordPress editor. And combined with Gutenberg friendly WordPress themes such as Pinto, I’m confident you’re going to love publishing in WordPress even more. Enjoy!
