Our latest WordPress theme, Tabor, has been well received throughout the WordPress community. It’s screaming fast and does what it’s meant to do best: empowering folks to write and share content.
I’ve received a lot of great feedback on the theme and have implemented a number of popular requests over the last couple of weeks.
So here’s what’s new:
Introducing Facebook sharing
On the post layout you will find a new Facebook sharing button, right next to the Twitter button. You may now turn on the module from within the WordPress Customizer and even modify the Facebook sharing url parameters via the
Out of the box, the post title, image, and description are pre-populated for Facebook. If Yoast is configured, shared links display perfectly with the plugin’s Open Graph markup.

New site-wide searching
Tabor now features a global search bar, which is accessible as a Customizer option. Click on the search icon and you’ll see a drop-in search bar come down from the top of the window.
It’s simple, clever and straight to the point.
Test-drive Tabor for yourself
So many folks enjoy test-driving our WordPress themes before buying. So far, I’ve added the test-drive functionality to York Pro, Ava and now Tabor.
If you’ve been holding out on Tabor and want to experience first-hand how easy it is to deploy content, now is your chance.
Click here to generate a free test installation of WordPress, Tabor, and all bundled plugins, spun up just for you. Although the sandbox can be generated from your mobile, it’s best to test drive the theme from your computer — that way you can really dive deep.
There’s a lot more in store for Tabor. It’s an exciting project to work on. Tabor is unique because I am personally using it daily on my own blog. I experience first-hand what new features are needed, what would be great additions, and what pain-points occur.
You won’t find a more hyper-focused WordPress theme for writing, sharing and growing your audience — guaranteed.
